JOB SCOPE

• We had a Toolbox meeting with the crew and the captain of the ship.
• Lowering the crane to the main deck.
• The meticulous maintenance process included the removal of connecting bolts, as well as a pin, and the careful disassembly of the sheave. This initial disassembly allowed our technicians to access the defective bearing. They proceeded to replace the wornout bearing and, equally importantly, conducted a thorough cleaning of the sheave bearing housing to ensure optimal performance.
• A new bearing was then expertly installed into the sheave, which was reassembled onto the crane boom. Our technicians paid meticulous attention to detail, securely mounting the pin and tightening connecting bolts to guarantee the crane’s structural integrity.
• Upon the completion of the renovation process, our team performed a rigorous cleaning process to ensure the crane’s pristine condition. Following this, comprehensive equipment testing was conducted, assuring the vessel’s crew that the crane was fully operational.
• As a final recommendation and in line with our commitment to safety and continued maintenance, our technicians advised replacing both the pin and the bushings. This proactive measure ensures the longterm reliability and safety of the crane.
