Step 1: Shutdown all related systems

The first step is to shut down all related systems, including starting systems, lubrication systems, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.

Step 2: Remove Cylinder Head

The cylinder head needs to be removed to access the engine’s internal components. Our experienced technicians will disconnect all connections and observe the area carefully before lifting to ensure absolute safety. After the cylinder head is removed, we conduct cleaning and inspection.

Step 3: Remove Piston, Connecting Rod, Fuel Injection pump

We then remove the piston, fuel injection pump, connecting rod for cleaning and inspection. This process involves cleaning the piston measuring and inspecting the oil scraper ring groove for wear, and replacing all piston rings.

Step 4: Piston Ring Replacement

The existing piston rings were removed and subjected to a thorough inspection. Upon evaluation, it was determined that replacing them with high-quality new rings was necessary to ensure optimal sealing and performance.

Step 5: Cleaning Pistons, Cylinder Jackets, Fuel Injection pump

Before reinstallation, the pistons and cylinder jackets underwent extensive cleaning to eliminate any accumulated dirt or carbon deposits.

Step 6:  Inspecting Cylinder Heads and O-Rings, Fuel Injection pump

Comprehensive inspections were conducted on the cylinder heads, ensuring they were free from damage or excessive wear. Any worn-out O-rings were promptly replaced.

Maintaining a main engine fuel injection pump involves strict use of clean, high-quality fuel, regular checks for leaks and consistent fuel pressure, timely cleaning/replacement of filters, and adherence to manufacturer-specified overhaul intervals (often 2,000-8,000 hours) for precise calibration, part replacement (plungers, valves), and timing adjustments to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. 

Step 7: Reassembly with Precision

After completing all the preceding steps, the pistons, fuel injection pump and cylinder heads were meticulously reassembled, ensuring a seamless fit and alignment.
